Karadeniz stated that the relations between the Federation and PETKİM have become warmer recently and are continuing to strengthen. He said, “There is a need for training and workshops on the issues required by the plastic sector. I believe our cooperation will continue to develop in the upcoming period. The support you provided for the industry meeting we held in İzmir in November was a great example of this, and we are intensifying our efforts to ensure that such activities occur more frequently.”
PETKİM's CEO, Anar Mammadov, expressed his honor in hosting PLASFED, our country's plastic industry's umbrella organization, stating, “Meeting here with the managers of a valuable NGO like PLASFED is very important for us. As our President Ömer Karadeniz mentioned, we need to increase our cooperation. In this regard, we are ready to provide all the support we can.” Highlighting that SOCAR's investment in the STAR Refinery will reduce the country’s current account deficit by 1.5 billion dollars, Mammadov concluded his words by saying, “Turkey's and PETKİM's strategic importance to SOCAR is very high; therefore, our detailed work on different investments continues.”
