RePlast Eurasia, one of the significant meetings of the plastic recycling industry, brought industry representatives together in Istanbul. The PLASFED delegation visited the fair to hold meetings with its members and industry stakeholders, listening firsthand to the current problems and expectations of the recycling sector.

RePlast Eurasia, one of the most important meetings of the plastic recycling industry, brought industry professionals together in Istanbul for the third time this year. Held between March 26–28, 2026, at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center, the fair brought together numerous companies and industry representatives operating in the fields of plastic recycling technologies and raw materials.

Organized at a time when plastic recycling is gaining increasing importance, the fair showcased many products and technologies such as recycling machinery and technologies, collection and sorting solutions, certification and test-measurement services, petrochemical and recycled raw materials, and yarn and fiber recycling machines. The fair brought a wide range of sectors, from plastic manufacturers to petrochemical companies, and from packaging producers to the automotive sub-industry, under the same roof.

The Plastics Federation (PLASFED) also visited the fair and met with industry representatives. Federation officials visited their members participating in the fair as well as industry stakeholders, exchanging views on the current state of the recycling sector, the problems faced by manufacturers, and proposed solutions.

During their contacts throughout the fair, the PLASFED delegation listened to the opinions of industry representatives regarding the problems related to raw material supply, cost pressures, and regulations that the recycling sector is currently facing. By establishing one-on-one contact with its members, the Federation had the opportunity to evaluate the needs in the field on-site.

Pointing out that communication between stakeholders is of great importance for the development of the industry, PLASFED officials emphasized that investments and technological developments in the field of recycling will make a significant contribution to strengthening the circular economy in Turkey. Federation officials stated that they will continue to convey the industry's problems to the relevant institutions and continue their efforts for the sustainable development of the plastics industry.
