PLASFED Participated in the US Trade Delegation Event

PLASFED, the umbrella organization of the plastics industry, participated in the US Trade Delegation event hosted by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry, evaluating the growth opportunities and collaboration potentials of the Turkish plastic industry in the US market.

The "Advanced Manufacturing - Trade Delegation" event, organized by the US Trade Undersecretariat on Monday, September 22, 2025, brought together Turkish industrialists and American advanced manufacturing technology firms. The event featured the participation of seven American firms offering advanced manufacturing solutions. Participant firms had the opportunity to evaluate collaboration opportunities through one-on-one (B2B) meetings with end users and potential distributors in Turkey.
PLASFED, the umbrella organization of the Turkish plastic industry, also played an active role in the event. PLASFED Chairman Ömer Karadeniz held a special meeting with Faris Alami, CEO of International Strategic Management (ISM), as part of the program. The meeting focused on the growth potential of the Turkish plastic sector in the US market, opportunities in trade, and possible collaboration models.
Karadeniz stated his assessment regarding the meeting:
“We believe that such international contacts are of great importance for the Turkish plastic industry to achieve a more competitive position in global markets. The meeting with ISM may be the beginning of a collaboration that will open new doors for our industry in the American market. Our aim is to take steps that will increase our production capacity and exports, providing our companies with new markets.”
Thanking the Board of Directors of the Istanbul Chamber of Industry for hosting this valuable event and the US Consulate for their contributions, Karadeniz emphasized that such events offer new opportunities for the Turkish industry to increase its international competitiveness.
