With the goal of raising environmental awareness across society and establishing a sustainable waste management system, a strategic cooperation protocol has been signed between the Plastic Industrialists Federation (PLASFED) and the ÇEVKO Foundation for the Protection and Evaluation of Packaging Waste. The parties have decided to conduct joint efforts to improve the separate collection of waste at the source and make recycling processes more effective.

PLASFED’s long-standing commitment to the “Source Separation System” and its approach regarding the critical importance of recycling to the industry form the basis of this collaboration. Turkey’s dependence on imported raw materials demonstrates that recycling is essential not only from an environmental perspective but also from an economic aspect.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, PLASFED President Ömer Karadeniz emphasized that this collaboration is a historic step for the industry. He stated that the efforts made for years to enhance recycling processes have gained a new dimension with this protocol established with the ÇEVKO Foundation. “Through this collaboration, we aim to deepen environmental awareness in the industry and contribute to our country's sustainable development goals.
