A strong defense infrastructure enables a country to achieve a more independent and influential position in the international arena. Consequently, the saying "A country without an army has no homeland" is an important expression emphasizing how critical defense power is for the survival of states. Today, however, this reality gains meaning not just with an army, but with a strong defense industry supporting it.

The plastic ban and the development of the defense industry are two major areas of transformation faced by modern states. While one targets environmental sustainability, the other aims to strengthen national security and economic independence. Nevertheless, both policies reshape the economic structure, transform employment areas, and contribute to the development of countries in the long run. Ultimately, when managed with the right policies, these two fields contribute to building a strong, independent, and sustainable economic structure in the long term, despite short-term challenges.
